No one remembered when the Ledger Realm came online. There was no announcement. No banner across the sky. No clean moment the world could agree to call beginning. There was only a subtle shift — like gravity changing by a fraction — noticed only in hindsight, when old assumptions stopped working.

The Expanse stretched beyond human scale, a world built from a language that didn't care who spoke it. Colossal monoliths rose like black-glass mountains, their surfaces shot through with vertical veins of cyan light. Between them ran luminous rivers — streams of ordered data — flowing across vast plains of tiled architecture that looked like stone until you stood close enough to see it wasn't stone at all, but stacked structure: blocks interlocked with blocks, each face engraved with faint, shifting glyphs.

Far out, near the horizon, the glow tightened into a distant hub — an impossible city-heart where countless streams converged into something brighter than dawn. Above it, the sky carried its own motion: thin arcs of light like auroras, constellations that weren't stars but persistent signals moving in graceful, relentless sweeps.
